We will taste and talk about 6 vintages of Cabernet Sauvignon from Standing Stone Vineyards, starting with the muscle bound 2016 vintage in the barrel, and going backwards. You will learn why many think Cabernet Sauvignon should not be grown in the Finger Lakes, and why it seems to work for Standing Stone Vineyards and our neighbors in the Banana Belt. Then for a special treat, we’ll jump back to taste the 2007 vintage of Pinnacle, which is what we used to call our Cabernet Sauvignon blend. 2 seatings, at 12:30 and 2:30, should let us accommodate everyone who wants to join us, but please don’t wait to make your reservation. As always at our Vertical Tastings, we’ll serve some light food to show how well this magnificent wines pairs with many different flavors.
