- 4 cups of Fruit
- 2 cups Smoke House Red
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup of Water
- Use fruit that is in season, especially stone fruits like peaches and nectarines. In a pinch though (and in the winter) frozen blueberries and strawberries work really well. Also, the amount of sugar depends on your taste.
- Combine all the ingredients in a pot. Turn your stove to high and bring the contents to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium/low for at least an hour. You want the consistency to be like a lite syrup. Be sure to taste it as well, but be careful you can always add more sugar but it's a lot harder to take it out.
- Once the fruit has cooked down spread some Side Hill Acres goat cheese on a baguette for a great appetizer.
